Michael & Georgia
70 x 80 cm, oil on board
In this portrait the female subject’s pose is based on a photographic shoot in an issue of Vogue Magazine. Her main portrait is seen in the mirror, a deliberate device to distance the viewer slightly from the subject. The male subject is not seen in the mirror, a means to keep the composition uncluttered. In the ornate mirror frame a further portrait, of the couple’s daughter, can be found depicted as a plaster relief.
